Sponsored Walk Saturday 24th Jan 2026 (rescheduled)

Please note that this walk has been postponed from 10th Jan to 24th Jan due to weather conditions.

Rev. Jane and Rev Simon are undertaking a sponsored walk in support the Hymn Book Appeal. They are walking from Ripon Cathedral to Healey, visitng each of the churches on their way, a total of around 22 miles.

Sponsorship forms are available at the back of each church, and you are welcome to add your name.
If you would like to join them for part of the route you will be most welcome.

The route, Times and distances are below:

Stage 1 8am – 10.00am Ripon Cathedral to North Stainley (5m)
Stage 2 10am – 11.00am North Stainley to West Tanfield (2.5m)
Stage 3 11am – 12noon West Tanfield to Well (2.7m)
Stage 4 12noon- 1pm Well to Snape (2m)

Lunch in Snape

Stage 5 1.30pm – 3.30pm Snape to Masham (5m)
Stage 6 3.30pm – 5.00pm Masham to Healey (3.5m)
