Masham Parish Council is currently developing its budget for the year 2027/2028. Local groups and charities are now invited to submit funding bids for small grants to the parish council under S137 Local Government Act, 1972. The window for submissions opens on 14th September and will close on 30th September 2026.

To be eligible for a grant award under Section 137, an organisation must:
• be established for non-political, charitable, benevolent, social, cultural, recreational or philanthropic purposes
• and have a constitution or set of rules which defines its aims, objectives and operational procedures.
• be able to provide a copy of its latest annual accounts or, most recently, three bank statements.
• Accounts are to be checked and signed by a person independent of the group
• have a bank account operated by a minimum of at least two joint signatories.

Any local charity or organisation wishing to make a bid for funding should submit these to clerk@masham-pc.org.uk by 2pm, 30th September 2026 using this application form.
