The upcoming wellbeing group session will be be exploring mindful picture-taking. We’ll be joined by Jo, who has kindly offered to share her interest with the group.
This session is peer led and is all about slowing down, noticing what’s around us, and enjoying the process rather than taking “perfect” pictures. We’ll start with a short, informal presentation looking at:
- What mindfulness is and how we apply it in everyday life
- How taking pictures can help us slow down and really notice what’s around us
- Simple ideas for mindful picture-taking, using whatever device you have
After that, we’ll head out for a gentle, short walk nearby, taking photos at our own pace. There’s no pressure to take lots of pictures, no technical teaching, and no obligation to share anything unless you want to.
What to bring:
A phone or camera – whatever you’re comfortable using.
✅ No experience needed.
This session was made possible thanks to the generous support of Marcus Movers. A big thank you to Jo for leading it, and to the White Bear for hosting us.
Masham Wellbeing Group is free to join and open to all adults. People do need to register to take part, which they can do by contacting me, Kirsty, on kirsty@mindinharrogate.org.uk or on 07305 049296.
