Get into the Christmas spirit while supporting local children and young people’s mental health at the Mental Elf Festive Fun Run.

This family-friendly 5K brings people together for a morning of festive fun, community spirit and fundraising.

Whether you prefer to run, jog or walk, everyone is welcome, with the event open to all ages and abilities. Families, groups of friends and corporate teams are encouraged to take part, so gather your favourite people, don your best festive fancy dress and join in the fun. There will even be a fancy dress competition, including a prize for the best-dressed dog!

Last year’s event raised an incredible £6,500 to support Mind in Harrogate District’s work. This year, organisers hope to raise even more to help ensure people have somewhere to turn when they need mental health support.

Participants are encouraged to set up a fundraising page and collect sponsorship alongside their entry. Every donation, no matter how small, helps fund local services, from counselling sessions to weekly drop-in support. There is no minimum fundraising target, and every pound raised makes a difference.

There’s also an extra incentive to get fundraising: the event’s top fundraiser will win a pair of Brooks running shoes of their choice, professionally fitted at Up & Running in Harrogate.
