Venue & Equipment Hire
Venue and equipment hire can be done through Mashamshire Community Hub as a central point in Masham. We provide a place to book a variety of facilities and venues in Masham, we also have some handy equipment to hire too.
From a performance space to a small meeting room or a tennis court, we make it as easy as possible to get the information you need and make your booking.
All proceeds from these services go to support our charity.
Town Hall Bookings
We work on behalf of Masham Town Hall to manage their room bookings. Please call or drop in to check availability, hire rates and make a booking.
All the Town Hall’s spaces, as well as the kitchen and toilets, have been recently refurbished, and all spaces except the raised stage are accessible for people with physical disabilities The building is accessed via a shallow ramp to the front door, and the Main Hall via a lift.
Free superfast broadband is available throughout the building.
There are three spaces for hire at the Town Hall. The rates given are for community / non profit making groups, please contact us for business rates.
Mashamshire residents are entitled to a discount of 25%, and regular hirers (more than five events per year) to a discount of 15%.
All prices subject to VAT at 20%
Main Hall Upstairs – £20 per hour / £250 for evening event
Suitable for small conferences, music events, craft or other fairs with stalls. Holds 250 standing, 200 seated in rows or up to 144 seated at tables. It has a 400w PA, microphones and stage lighting available by arrangement.
Downstairs Small Hall – £15 per hour / £120 for evening event
Suitable for meetings, activities, and events such as quiz nights, pop up restaurants, or children’s parties. Holds up too 100 standing, 80 seated conference or banquet style, or 50 seated cafe style at tables. AV facilities are available at no extra charge.
Small Hall Special Children’s Party Rate – £25 (ages 11 and under, four hours access)
Small Hall Special Coffee Morning Rate – £50 (for local non profit groups only, access 7am-3pm)
Downstairs Committee Room – £10 an hour
Suitable for small meetings of up to 15 people. Large historic boardroom table.
Kitchen
Basic use of the kitchen is included in all hire fees. Catering use (both ovens and dishwasher) is charged at £80.
Weddings / Major Events
£1,500 (£1,000 Mashamshire resident) for exclusive use of the entire building from 6pm the day before until 12 noon the day after the wedding.
Bar
Masham Town Hall has a fully licenced in-house bar, which is the default bar service for all hires. If you are intending for alcohol to be provided at your event, whether for sale or for free, please contact the Designated Premises Supervisor, Nick Reed, on 07939-136082 / mashamtownhall@yahoo.co.uk.

Meeting Room Hire at Mashamshire Community Hub
Looking for a smaller space to meet clients in Masham or a work space for yourself between meetings? We have a small meeting room available for hire.
It is on the first floor but is accessible by lift if needed. Teas and coffees can be provided by arrangement.
The room is available for the following sessions: 9:00-12:30, 1:00-4:30 and 6:00-9:30
ROOM HIRE CHARGES:
General room hire charges are as follows:
£10 per hour – £55 per full day
Charges for voluntary or community groups are as follows:
£8 per hour – £45 per full day

If you fancy a game of tennis, book a court in Masham. We manage bookings on behalf of Masham Sports Association.
Bookings can be hourly and we can loan rackets too. Book and pay for your slot then collect your rackets and access code from the Community Office.
Hourly Court Fees – £10 per session
Racket & Balls Hire – £10 – (£5 refunded on return)
Mobility - Hire Wheelchair or Walker
If you have visitors or someone in the family who is finding it hard to keep up when you are in town – then please feel free to pop in and borrow one of our mobility aids.
We have a wheelchair or a walker rollator – both foldable and here for ad hoc community use. All we ask is that you return them before you head home, and if you could make a donation for their use – that would be much appreciated.
